Chemical Analysis Of Some Elements In Oxidation-Reduction Equilibria In Silicate Glasses

Techniques and procedures useful for quantitative measurements of the oxidation reduction equilibria of 13 elements are described: Fe,S,Cu,Sb,As,V,Mn,Se,Cr,Ce,U,Sn and Ti. These techniques are procedures are adaptable to concentrations as low as a few ppm in the sample. Analyses of combinations of some of these elements and of copper ruby, manganese brown, ultraviolet absorbing green, iron sulphur amber and selenium pink commercial glasses are given.
