Ways to achieve cost savings by the use of proper techniques in the manufacture of parts intended to be porcelain enamelled are discussed, from receiving the steel up to and including the finishing system. Incoming material properties, press operations, die/tooling maintenance, forming/drawing lubricants, welding/fastening, and different types of process soils and their effects are all discussed along with the relative impact of each of these process parameters.
