Characterization Of Poly(Ethylene Oxide) Modified Tungsten Oxide Thin Films Via Sol-Gel Processing

The sol-gel method has attracted special interests recently in the preparation technology of new materials prepared by combining organic and inorganic materials. The sol-gel process is basically a hydrolysis and condensation polymerization reaction of molecular precursors that provide the opportunity to synthesise organic-inorganic nano-composites. This organic-inorganic nano-composite is impossible to prepare by a traditional high-temperature process due to the decomposition of the organic. In recent years, the sol-gel reactions have been applied to prepare inorganic and polymer hybrid materials.
