Ceramic Lightweight Structures From Paper Derived Composites

Conversion of preprocessed paper into ceramic materials is of interest for laminated object manufacturing and advanced processing of lightweight macroscopic substrates and structures. The processing principles and reaction morphologies of the conversion of cellulose fibres into ceramic SiC fibres and paper structures into ceramic composites is presented in this paper.
