The "Sungate" antenna windscreen helps to keep the sun's heat out of automotive interiors through the use of a high-performance coating incorporated within the windscreen's laminated layers. The transparent coating also reduces the workload on air conditioners and improves fuel efficiency. In addition, the coating also helps the windscreen to operate as the vehicle's radio antenna.
