Cat Scratch Cord Dispersal

Cat scratch cord is a surface cord originating from the dissolution of refractories. It is manifested as a line or series of lines on the surface of the bottle or article being manufactured. These lines have the appearance of a cat having scratched down the side of the article with its claws, hence the most popular name "cat scratch" cord for this defect. In this article, the author describes the application of stirrers in a proven cord dispersal system.
