[Case Study] A Wintergarden That Captures The Power Of The Sun

If built in an ideal position within a detached house, a wintergarden not only guarantees enhanced living conditions all year round, but also yields unbelievable solar gains and thus leads to a considerable reduction in energy consumption and costs. In 2011, at the edge of the city of Delden, near Enschede in the Netherlands, the architect couple Schipper-Douwes built a sustainable home in which the wintergarden plays a central role.
