Camera Inspection Developments

Camera inspection systems have become a standard element of equipment at the cold end of glass container production lines. Their use began with the creation of two essential technical prerequisites, namely the combined availability of appropriate industrial cameras and efficient computer engineering. Some would suggest that because no revolutionary camera inspection technology developments are currently on the horizon, no further improvements can be expected. On closer examination, however, this is not the case. In this article Dr Friedrich Gunther presents his company's latest innovations for the identification of faults in the sidewall and mouth areas of glass containers.
