Finvetro is evaluating the acquisition of the majority package of shares of Calp, based in the Colle Val D'Elsa, in the area of Siena, a national leader in the manufacture of crystal products. Venetian Finvetro specialises in the production of auto headlights, washing machine doors, objects for the home and pressed glass items and has a turnover of around 100,000 Euros, around 700 employees, and premises in Austria and Bulgaria. Calp has been undergoing difficulties for some time now and trying to find the right way to relaunch. In February, the historical partners of the group (7 families of entrepreneurs from Tuscany) who hold 55% of the company, redeemed 45% of shares in portfolio to two financial funds - Fidia and Athena - and entrusted the advisor of Banca Monte dei Pasachi to find an interested institutional, or better still industrial investor.
