Calculation Of Raman Spectra Of Glasses

A theoretical approach for studying structural disorder in glasses on the basis of the corresponding cyrstal model is presented. Relationships for calculating Raman spectra are obtained in the lowest self-consistent Born approximation (SBA) and averaged t-matrix approximation (ATM). The Si2O7 dimer is considered as a model structural unit of M2O.SiO2 glasses (M denotes an alkaline metal) containing infinite silicate chains.
