Caithness Glass To Close Centre And Factory

The closure of the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre & factory was announced 27/10/07. There was a breakdown between the firm's landlords over a suitable rental package at the Inveralmond site. Talks have been continuing between landlord Kilmartin & the owner, Dartington since April but a failure to agree on suitable terms has resulted in job losses. Although the number of jobs set to go has not been finalised, the company will be keeping the business within Perthshire & is looking at a site at Crieff. John Morris, MD of Dartington Crystal, said the firm would continue trading until January.
