Bystronic Glass: Modern Systems Engineering For Maximum Sizes

The greatest challenge for glass manufacturers is to carefully balance high-level automation with the greatest possible flexibility, as the Bystronic glass system recently put into operation by Glas Sprinz (Ravensburg, Germany), which provides from storage to finished glass units. As far as extreme glass sizes are concerned, Bystronic Glass also responded to a second challenge with the world's largest glass handling device now installed at Sedak, which produces laminated glass measuring 13.30 x 3.10 metres, described in this article.
