Building Kazakhstan'S First Float Glass Facility

The Investment Fund of Kazakhstan and Stewart Engineers Inc have completed partnership agreements, signed project contracts and agreed funding with the Development Bank of Kazakhstan to build a modern complex for the production of float glass. The Orda Glass complex at Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan, aims to be the most modern industrial float glass facility in the world, using the latest float glass and on-line CVD coating technology. It will produce 600/tpd of value-added products including high performance pyrolytic nano-technology coated glass, as well as high quality architectural and automotive glass. In addition, Orda Glass will feature laminating capabilities, with future expansion to other value-added products.
