Bubbles And Blister

Bubbles are frequent defects for glass producers, and in most cases it is a small mystery where the bubbles are coming from. Glass Service has developed a special technique and service to quickly analyse the composition of gases within the bubble and based on that determine the source of the defects. In this article some different bubble sources and mechanisms are classified. Examples of bubble gas analysis using the GIA systems for single bubble categories and bubble source identification are shown.
