Bubble Defects In Leadless Glazes

There are several ways to reduce or eliminate bubble defects in ceramic glazes. Steps in formation include increasing the heal-over temperature, proper raw material selection, and use of mill additives. Steps in processing include proper application technique, minimal glaze thickness, complete drying before firing and firing at an optimum temperature.
