British Pubs To Sell Smaller Glasses Of Wine

The British government is currently considering introducing a mandatory code of practice to force bars to serve smaller glasses of wine. Under the proposal, the landlords of bars and pubs shall offer their consumers glasses with a size of 125ml. Currently, glasses with 175 and 250ml are served. The British Department of Health believes that more choice could help people to drink less. A spokesman for British high street chain Wetherspoon said: Obviously, if smaller glasses are made mandatory we will look at it, but our customers have made it quite clear that the two sizes they wish to choose from are 175ml and 250ml. There is no demand for a smaller size."
