The fate of the glass industry in Vietnam, like all other industrial sectors, is closely tied to government policy. The Vietnamese glass sector is in urgent need of investment, most of which is expected to come from abroad. So far, several foreign glass manufacturers such as Nippon Sheet Glass and Malaya Glass have already set up joint ventures in Vietnam, but although the signs are good, many companies are waiting for further proof that the economy is to continue its healthy improvements.
