Glashutte Eisch, manufactures what they describe as "breathable" wine glasses. "Breathable" glasses are made from a special lead free composition of crystal glass quality. After the manufacturing process, the glasses undergo an oxygenising treatment which gives the glass unique properties. A wine poured into a "breathable" glass for just 2-4 minutes will show signs of aeration equivalent to the same wine that has been decanted & aerated for 1-2 hours. This fully natural process takes place within the wine itself in minutes. The original character & structure of the wine are preserved, yet the wine's aroma & palate impression become more open & generous. In addition to wine, these glasses can also lead to improvements with spirits, fruit juices & mineral water. Every Breathable glass has a specific label at the goblet & the sandblasting mark (wave) at the bottom.
