Branded Beer Glasses From Rastal

The German glass maker Rastal focuses on making beer glasses with a perfect fit for a particular brand - what Carsten Kehrein, the head of the Rastal Design Studio calls "a perfect synthesis of image and functionality". This can involve creating unusual forms that customers will recognise and remember, such as the Eku longnecked goblet that takes a familiar bottle shape and turns it upside down. Decoration is also an important tool in obtaining "brand power". As well as prints on the sides of glasses, the DecoFill system enables small objects to be put in the heavy bottom of glasses. These can be corks or promotional gimmicks. In the case of Heineken, it was a distinctive green bottle cap. For more information email: rastal@rastal.com
