As part of Bostik's commitment to ensuring that its Hot Melt products are compatible with a wide range of application methods and technologies, the worldwide adhesives and sealants specialist has trialled its Hot Melt sealants with Warm Edge Technology. The company announces that test reports from notified test laboratories in Europe show that when used with Warm Edge systems, Bostik;s Hot Melts more than meet the requirements set out by EN 1279 Parts 2 & 3. According to EN 1279-2, the maximum permitted MPI value is 0.20. When tested in conjunction with TPS or Super Spacer, Bostik Hot Melts produce average MPI results below 0.06. When tested to EN 1279-3, the results are equally impressive. Bostik Hot Melts used with TPS or Super Spacer produce Li results well below the required 1.0%/pa for gas filled units.
