Bohemian Chadeliers Through The Ages

Throughout the ages, chandeliers from Bohemia have undergone countless transformations prompted by historical events, changes in customer tastes and foreign competition. Yet they have always proved their worth, as evidenced by numerous prizes, awards and citations from domestic and international exhibitions, and demand from discerning clientele from the whole of Europe and overseas. In this paper the author looks into the Bohemian tradition of glassmaking and, in particular, crystal chandeliers, to see what makes these pieces so special; chandeliers that are steeped in history, but which in style remain timeless.
