Bismuth-Free Automotive Enamels Launched

Johnson Matthey has announced the launch of bismuth-free black obscuration enamels for automotive glass decoration. The new enamel products satisfy stringent technical requirement soft high acid durability and non-stick performance. However, they are made without bismuth. The availability of bismuth and fluctuations in its price have been major issues recently. The bismuth-free enamels offer significant cost reduction, cost stability and supply chain security.
