Queen Mary University London reports that scientists have developed a new and improved bioglass toothpaste formulation called BioMin. In addition to addressing tooth sensitivity, BioMin's makers say the toothpaste also can help prevent tooth decay and acid erosion, thanks to the ability of the bioglass to form a protective enamel-mimicking layer and slowly release fluoride into the mouth.
