Big Top Crowns Jordan Hotel

Andy Thornton Ltd has just completed the manufacture of its largest stained glass dome ever for the Royal Jordan hotel in Jordan. The firm usually produces standard sizes ranging from between 1.5-3m in size but this dome stands at a gigantic 11m in diameter and over 4m high. Each section of the inverted, circular stained glass dome comprises individual glass panels that consist of stained and leaded glass pieces. An incredible 15,162 individual pieces of blue, yellow, white and purple glass have been leaded together by staff in Andy Thornton's glass studio to create this spectacular feature.
