Bfrc Report: The Indicators (2005)

The annual release of the UK Energy Sector Indicators are designed to show the UK's progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and general energy efficiency. On a sector basis, the results show that energy use in industry and construction has been falling almost constantly since 1970 and now accounts for only 21% of final energy use. How much of this is due to improved energy efficiency in industry and how much is because of migration of heavy industry to low wage economies?
