The Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) has finally confirmed that it has taken over the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) with immediate effect. A new company, the British Fenestration Rating Council Ltd has been established. All the BFRC;s intellectual property, logo, window energy label, website, databases and so on, will be transferred to the new BFRC Ltd. It is hoped that this new structure will sustain the strides that have been made in recent years. The new BFRC will be managed by the GGF and it was claimed that this will enable increased marketing, technical and administrative support for the future growth of Window Energy Raging (WER) and the possibility of its integration into both the Building Regulations' approval systems operated by FENSA & other GGF operations. Giles Willson, the GGF's technical director, will be given overall charge.
