Beverage Sector Privatisations Stimulate Packaging Demand

Industrial-scale glass container production is undertaken at five plants in Egypt, covering the needs of the beverage, food, pharmaceutical and perfumery sectors. The industry's total melting capacity stands at approximately 700 tonnes/day from eight furnaces, the number of lines currently in operation being 20. Industry expansion is ongoing, however, in an effort to keep pace with expanding market demand.
