Better Melting Techniques Dominate Inaugural Event

Furnace Solutions, a specialist conference conceived & run by the Glass Batch, Furnaces & Refractories Committee of the Society of Glass Technology (Society of Glass Technology), attracted over 60 delegates to the premises of Ceram in Stoke-on-Trent recently. Glassmakers in the container/float sectors came from as far away as Pakistan to take part in discussions & presentations. John Liddle, of Ceram, welcomed delegates. This article reports on what happened at this successful seminar.
