Bespoke Artware From Cumbria Crystal

In a celebration of artisanship like no other, Cumbria Crystal has asked their talented team of craftspeople to personally design and produce their own bespoke pieces of crystal art. For C-Art Open Studios, a visual art and design festival taking place from the 14-29 September, Cumbria Crystal will open its doors to the public to showcase craftsmanship at its best and give a one off insight into the mind of an artist, discovering how they work and what inspires them. Six of Cumbria Crystal's artisans and apprentices will be producing their own bespoke designs, to be exhibited and available to purchase at the company's Factory Shop in Ulverston. These crystal art works will include unique engraving, cut glass designs and experimental recycled art. Katy Holford, Creative and Managing Director, Cumbria Crystal, said; "It is a privilege to join artists across the county in celebrating the best of Cumbrian craftsmanship through C-Art Open Studios. "Our talented craftsmen and women will be producing one of a kind, bespoke pieces of crystal which have been inspired and designed by the individuals themselves and will be showcased in the Factory Shop. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to use their creative talents and craftsmanship outside of the work they produce for us everyday, revealing their true artistry."
