Bending And Tempering - Continuous Innovations In Automotive And Architectural Glass

Founded in 1971, Glasstech Inc. was launched to design and build flat-glass tempering systems in order to satisfy the rapidly expanding requirement for safety glass in the architectural market, particularly in buildings accessible to the public. In this paper the author discusses the technological progress which Glasstech has made in developing machinery for the production of architectural and automotive glass, with particular attention given to the bending and tempering furnaces now produced.
