Soda ash is one of the principal components in glass manufacture, and often the one most talked about. In the last 12-18 months there has been continued debate between India and the USA in particular regarding the fair and open trade between the two regarding the supply of this essential carbonate. This issue looks at the developments that have taken place in the soda ash supply chain over the last 12 months and assesses what lays ahead during 2003.
