Batch Feeder Supplier Ensures Repeat Business

Ardagh's Glass factory (Doncaster) called on Sheffield-based firm Geo Robson when conveying & storage equipment was required for the rebuild of its 3rd furnace, (the fourth plant in the Ardagh Group) to use the supplier. Geo Robson describes the product range that continues this successful partnership. Installation at Ardagh's Wheatley site involved the replacing of 2 mixed batch storage hoppers & their discharge feeders. The new electro-magnetic vibration type feeders are a significant progression from the aged screw conveyors used previously. The feeder's fully enclosed 4.2m troughs ensure a feed rate of 15t/hour while flexible dust seals prevent spillage or airborne dust leaking to the surrounding work area.
