This article looks into the changing face of safety glass supply and demand in one of southern Asia's rapidly emerging markets. Bangladesh's housing and building boom in the past decade has added a new dimension to the glass consumption and brought huge diversity in uses of glass attracting a few investors to land for glass tempering, but soon that proved less rewarding as the country is still lacking efforts to introduce and implement safety rules for glass uses.
