Bangkok Glassmaker Expands

Bangkok Glass Industry (BGI) plans to develop a new glass plant in the North East of Thailand to supply its growing domestic & international markets. The plant is expected to be completed in 2008, adding an extra 300/tpd on start up. The glassmaker currently has a capacity of 2350/tpd at its Pathumtani and Rayong plants. BGI is a strong supporter of Thai environmental issues and implements a bottle collection programme with local schools and communities to enable recycling. This programme will also be implemented at the new plant.
