Baccarat Posts Net Loss For 1St Half 2003

French crystal maker Baccarat, part of the French luxury goods and hotels company Societe du Louvre Baccarat, posted a net loss of EUR 5.94M and an operating loss of EUR 3.69M for the first half of 2003, it was reported on 3 September 2003. The company generated turnover of EUR 49.71M for the first six months of 2003, a 12.2% year-on-year decline. At a constant exchange rate the decrease would reach 3.0%. Baccarat closed 2002 with turnover of EUR 127M, an operating profit of EUR 3.0M and a net profit of EUR 1.0M.
