French crystal maker and retailer Baccarat will open three stores devoted to its jewellery as well as ten "concept corners" or shop-in-shops in the UK - part of a plan to develop its jewellery brand in the UK and Ireland over the next two years. The project got underway with the refurbishment of the brand's London boutique on Old Bond St. Stemware was moved out to create a store devoted entirely to jewellery, including the Precious collection - crystal with Tahitian pearls, diamonds and semi-precious stones. The 60-square-meter Bond St store, which reopened on 8 October, had stocked a selection of jewellery alongside stemwear for about a year to test the environment before committing to the refit. The refurbishment has given the store a contemporary look "in line with how the brand is being developed by other stockists", said Commercial Dir, Matthew Evans.
