Baccarat - First Quarter 2005 Turnover

French fine crystal maker Baccarat posted turnover of EUR 24.8 million (US$ 32.3M) for the 1Q of 2005, down 6.0% year-on-year, it was reported on 22 April 2005. Baccarat closed 2004 with a turnover of EUR 124.12 million (US$ 161.8M), up 12.3% year-on-year. The company generated turnover of EUR 40.9 million (US$ 53.3M) for the 4Q of 2004, up 9.5% year-on-year. Baccarat is part of French luxury goods and hotel group Societe du Louvre. The company makes jewellery, fashion accessories and decorative products and owns commercial subsidiaries in the USA, Japan, Europe, China and Singapore. Baccarat generates 49% of its total turnover in Europe, 29% in Asia and the remaining 22% in the USA. It is listed on the Eurolist C of Euronext Paris.
