Baccarat Back Into Profit From Year-Ago Loss

Crystal maker Baccarat, part of French luxury goods and hotel group Societe du Louvre, reported an EUR 600,000 ($723,600) net attributable profit for the first half of 2004, compared to EUR 5.9M ($7.1M) net attributable loss for the same period of 2003. The crystal maker posted an operating profit of EUR 1.47M ($1.8M). No comparative figure was available. Baccarat announced sales of EUR 56.4M ($68M), up 13.5% year-on-year.
