Automotive Glass Sector Analysis

Automotive production has witnessed one of the most dramatic upheavals in China in recent decades. Before 1949, only a limited number of cars were imported for use by the elite. Even post 1949, the automotive industry remained largely subdued until 1979, when the Chinese government adopted economic liberalisation. However, the next 30 years saw China overtake the world's largest automotive producer; and in 2009, produced more vehicles than the USA, making some 13.79M cars. This article presents a detailed analysis of the Chinese automotive glass industry and some of its key players.
