Some topics from recent coating technology for automotive glazing are presented, followed by prospects of future trends. Highly durable hydrophobic and low-refelctive coating technologies could contribute to visibility improvement of drivers. A new bendable silver coating could show high performance in solar control and have potential for other applications.
