The competitiveness of drinking glasses and other glass products depends to a great extent on the economics of the grinding process. With a new automatic glass grinding machine it is now possible to produce precision decorative patterns. The ProCut, developed by Proglas Engineering GmbH, Bruchsal, has produced some impressive results which are described in this paper.
