[Australia] O-I To Cut Jobs

According to domestic media reports, O-I is to close a furnace and cut 50 jobs at its Adelaide, site with the loss of 50 jobs. "Adelaide Now" reports the glass manufacturer is to cut a fifth of its workforce at the West Croydon site as a response to deteriorating sales to the wine industry. The report said that one of the three furnaces at the plant will be decommissioned 3rd October. O-I said the plant had been impacted by an increase in bulk-wine exports, the high Australian dollar and deteriorating market conditions.
