Assessment Of A Polyurethane Coating As A Means Of Maintaining The Strength Of Lightweight Containers

Tests on samples of a standard 375 ml, 235 g container with an organo-tin hot end coating and a vapour phase cured polyurethane resin showed higher bursting pressures than were obtained on 255g containers with hot end and cold end coatings (polyethylene) both before and after line simulation.
