Ardagh Group recently announced a EUR 51M pre-tax profit for the 6 months ended 30 June, compared to a EUR 267M loss for the same period 2014. The company said pre-tax profit for Q2 totalled EUR 45M as against a EUR 253M loss for Q2 2014. However, the 2014 figures included significant exceptional items. Excluding those items, figures for the 3m period in 2015 showed a pretax profit of EUR 63M, as against EUR 52M for the same period a year earlier. Ardagh reported revenue of EUR 1.3BN for Q2, up 2% for the same quarter 2014. Half year revenues totalled EUR 2.51BN, as against EUR 2.22 a year earlier. Q2 EBITDA increased 15% over the same period in 2014 to EUR 249M. Operating cash flow in Q2 was EUR 144M, an increase of EUR 40M over the same period 2014. Revenue in the group's glass division totalled EUR 814M for the quarter, up 12% compared with pro forma revenue for the same three month period a year earlier, but down 2% at constant currency. The division's North American revenues of EUR 453M was up 22% on a pro forma basis, but down 3% on a constant currency basis.
