Architectural Glass In The 1980S: Ppg Tower

Dominating the skyline of Pittsburgh in the US is the 635-foot-tall glass tower of the PPG Place complex. Since 1983, this glistening glass structure has been home to PPG Industries, leading manufacturer of glass, chemicals, coatings, resins and fibre glass. The use of glass, no less than 19,750 pieces are incorporated in the tower, as well as the architectural design are looked at in this feature.
