French tableware giant Arc International has presented a new signature barware collection created for its Mikasa brand by noted architect and designer David Rockwell. "Axis", which was unveiled at the fall edition of the New York Tabletop Market, "makes a bold contemporary statement in glass and chrome, but with a retro edge, reminiscent of a time when entertaining was an art". "We are excited about our association with David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group and his signature debut for Mikasa," said Susan Saideman, Arc International CEO. "We view the Axis collection as a first of many opportunities to raise our glass and toast David Rockwell's creativity and vision". David Rockwell's Axis barware collection combines aluminum and glass for a design that evokes both a retro and futuristic feel.
