Arc International - One Billion Balloon Glasses Sold

Arc International announced that is has produced its billionth balloon glass. 50 years after its creation in Arques (Pas-de-Calais region) by the Group's R&D teams, the balloon glass enters glassmaking history. The balloon glass was created in 1958 as a technological revolution to serve the industry, it was the first automated stem glass thanks to a machine especially designed to seal the various parts manufactured separately. Until then, stem glasses were hand made at a high cost. With different capacities, the balloon glass quickly became a best seller.
