Arc Completes Newell Deal

Arc International, the French-owned glass tableware producer, has completed its acquisition of the Newell Cookware Europe business from the previous owner Newell Rubbermaid of the US. Newell Cookware Europe produces glass-ceramic cookware and uses the Pyrex brand, under licence from Corning Inc, in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. It has production plants at Chateauroux in France and at Sunderland in the UK. The company will now operate under the name Arc International Cookware, and will build the position of Arc International in the cookware market by supplying Pyrex brand products alongside the company's existing Luminarc brand.
