A post-technological modification route to optimise the optical properties of chalcogenide glasses owing to their treatment in the conditions of a high-energy stationary radiation field formed by 60COy-quanta is considered in this paper, with examples of stoichiometric AS2S3-GES2 and non-stoichiometric AS2S3-GE2S3 glasses. It was shown that both the energetic and geometric features of the glass-forming network should be taken into account to introduce numerical criterion for radiation modification efficiency.
