Application Of Diret Emission X-Ray Analysis To Control And Research In The Glass Industry

X-ray fluorescence and direct emission spectroscopy are discussed as analytical tools for quality control in the glass industry. The main applications are the quantitative analysis of light elements in glass, determinations made on low concentrations and analysis of distribution of elements in a specimen with particular regard to comparison with the various quantitative measurements available for determining heterogeneity in glasses.
